About ASCUK
ASCUK is the foundation Australian Shepherd Club and was formed in 1986 by a few dedicated breed enthusiasts. This included the founders of the breed in this country Mr & Mrs Macintyre and Carol Snell. With the hard work of committee members over the years it has taken the Australian Shepherd from the Working and Obedience registers, on to the Import Register in 1995. It then gained approval for the Breed standard (interim) in 1995, achieving full recognition for the breed in January 2000 with Ticket status (CC's)being achieved in 2006.
Mission
ASCUK is dedicated to promoting the responsible breeding and registering of pure bred Australian Shepherds and to do all in its' power to bring their natural qualities to perfection. To educate and promote an atmosphere of good sportsmanship, volunteerism and responsibility for the breed and the breed image to the public.
