FUN DAY (2) (NORTH)

Our thanks must to go Pat & Geoff Gatenby for allowing us to use their land and welcoming David & Lesley MacFarlane into their home for the weekend. The weekend proved to be entertaining, thought provoking and proved how versatile the Aussie can be.
On the Saturday, we proceeded to learn the basic principles of clicker training under the superb guidance of David. The dogs seemed to be enjoying it with some dogs and handler’s excelling straight away. Lunch was a crowded affair with soup and hot pork sandwiches on offer to warm everyone back up and once rested it was time to head back up the field to see how the principles of clicker training could be applied to deal with any issues that people had with their dogs be it in the home, with people or with other dogs. With scenarios being worked on and questions being addressed, it turned out to be a most informative day with plenty of good humour and some very tired handlers.
