Catrin is 17 years old and is
currently doing her A Levels at college. She has enjoyed handling and showing Aussies since she
was 6 years old, and has recently had some stewarding assignments as she is keen
to do breed judging in future. She also enjoyed judging Junior and Adult
Handling classes at Llandudno Open Show recently.
Over the years, Catrin has handled various breeds in handling, breed showing,
variety and stakes classes, and in 2009 finally got her own puppy Chayse -
Armatan Bring It On (ai), in co-ownership with the Armatan Kennels. She has
trained him in Obedience and Ringcraft.
Catrin has qualified each year for Crufts YKC Handling from 2007, and has also qualified both Chayse and Brady for Crufts breed showing. She has also qualified Chayse to take part in Welsh Junior Dog of the Year and Cody (Armatan Fernando) for Welsh Limit Dog and Welsh Veteran of the Year - both competitions to be held in February 2011.
Catrin has won the Junior Handling Roanjora Cup in ASCUK Annual Awards (for age
12-16 years), for 2007, 2008, 2009 & 2010.
Her 2010 achievements include BIS with Cody at Welsh Northern Counties, RBIS
with Brady at Rhyl CS, Best Junior Handler at Welsh Junior Dog of the Year. She
also handled Brady to his final ShCM points, multiple Best Veteran places with
Cody, and numerous places in Junior Handling at shows throughout the year.
Aside from dogs, Catrin's other hobbies include swimming, netball, aerobics,
drama, and she is hoping to study Performing Arts in the future.
Catrin has qualified for Crufts 2007, 2008, 2009, 2010, 2011 & 2012 in YKC Handling 12-16 Pastoral and Working
