Critique for ASCUK Open Show 2003

I had an enjoyable day with this breed and its' sporting exhibitors. Like many breeds, there are variations in type. I found eye shape and the amount of bone on exhibits to be the most varied. Temperaments on all dogs were excellent and condition of all the dog was to a high standard. I found the coats to be lacking the 'harsh guard hair' until I came to the first two exhibits in Veteran dog and I'm a little concerned that the ideal coat of low maintenance is being replaced with an overdone more glamorous one for showing.
Minor Puppy Dog
1st Armatan Adorez Mon Maitre - Solid six month old with good bone, nice eye and ear set. Very promising size and shape, very sound.
2nd Trijem All American Hotrod at Shloyan - Very nice head with alert expression. Good topline and tailset with a firm body. Not moving quite as true in front as 1 at this time.
3rd Trijem All American Raz 'M' Taz at Notacolly
Puppy Dog
1st Applethorn Cool As Ice - Very good bone and feet. Good topline and tail set, nice overall size and shape. Good head, but rather round in eye. Nice rib and depth of body. Needs to settle on the move. BEST PUPPY DOG and BEST PUPPY IN SHOW
2nd Thorsoak Puddin On Da Style - A finer dog with a nice eye, good front and feet. At the 'rangy' stage at the moment.
Junior Dog
1st Armatan Take a Chance on Me - Nice head, with good neck and shoulders. Well boned firm front with a deep body and good topline. Moved with ease, extension and drive.
2nd Accra Imtheotherone - Very good head and expression and a better earset than 1. Good front and bone with a well developed body. Not as firm in pastern as 1. Good coat and movement.

1st Shepalian Mr Bumble of Abodandy - Nice head with clean lips and alert expression, stop rather deep. Good neck and shoulders, well developed body and moved well.
2nd Armatan Collectors Item at Heibri - Well shaped head with good earset and a dark eye. Good neck, shoulders and topline with enough bone. Not quite as deep in body as 1.
3rd Sheplain Black Russian of Iskander

1st Ozzypools Marquis Diamond - Nice head and earset, dark eye and tight lips. Firm body but a little out of coat. Would like thicker pads to his feet. Well filled front with good muscle and movement.
2nd Trijem Iceni Wreak Havoc - Little rounder in eye, finer in bone and narrower in head than 1. Firm backed with a well muscled body and in good coat.

1st Accra Have You Heard - Alert with a lovely eye and earset. Well set neck into good shoulders, firm topline and good tailset. Good front, bone and feet, nice mover.
2nd Yulia Eveready Dandy of Abodandy - Very good body, bone and feet. In lovely condition with good movement. Just preferred the movement of 1.
3rd Trijem Rebel in Blue Jeans at Notacolly

1st Am.Ch Thornapple Climate Controlled (Imp USA) - Nice eye and ear with good pigment in a pleasing head. Well set neck into good shoulders and firm back on a muscled body of good shape and size. Strong rear, like him better when he is not moved too fast. BEST IN SHOW
2nd Armatan Sanoma Valley - Good ears on a pleasing head with tight lips. Preferred the eye of 1. Good neck and shoulders. Deep firm body in good coat, a balanced alert dog.

1st Trijem Red River Street - 8 years old, I liked him so much. Lovely expression, super coat with the 'harsh guard hair' which was hard to find. Lovely body and a sound mover. RESERVE BEST DOG and RESERVE BEST IN SHOW

1st Trijem Winter Brieze by Mytezika- Good expression, nice depth of body with well sprung rib. Good bone and feet, needs to settle on the move. BEST PUPPY BITCH and RESERVE BEST PUPPY IN SHOW
2nd Thorsoak Venus In Blue Jeans - Just a month younger than 1 with a nice ear, head and expression. Good feet, just preferred the rear of 1 at this time.

1st Moortime Magic of the Moors at Shenkiri - Well put together head with alert expression. Good neck and shoulders with a firm body which is not as long as her name thank goodness !! Strong rear with good front and feet. Short on coat at this time, a very good mover.
2nd Armatan I Have A Dream at Tisalmyn - Very pretty head on a well set neck, firm back and good tailset. Good bone and coat, not quite as settled in front as 1.

1st Applethorn Classic Gold - Nice head, ear and expression with a good neck and shoulders. Well filled front with good rib and depth of body. Good bone and feet and moved well.
2nd Blue Caprice at Iskander - Nice shape eye and head but heavy in ear. Good front and bone. Tight feet and body a nice shape and size. Moved soundly and just changing coat.

1st Cagasa Indi Anna at Ausden - Very nice expression in a good head. Firm front with good bone and feet. Well set neck on a correct deep body. good coat and movement. BEST BITCH and BEST OPPOSITE SEX
2nd Shepalian Acountry Cousin of Moortime CDex UDex WDex - Good shape and size with an alert expression and nice clean lips. Well set neck with good hard bone and feet. Sound on the move.

1st Shepalian Asweet Mellowdee at Abodandy - Good bone, topline and tailset. Firm rear, deep body, good shoulder and plenty of coat.
2nd Shepalian Nightflight to Moortime CDex UDex WD - Compact lady with a very nice expression. Firm back with a good tailset. Depth of body on good bone and feet. Good rear and side movement, a little short on coat.
3rd Ozzypools Allspice at Revloch

1st Accra Circle of Light at Kapia - 10 years old with a lovely head and alert expression. Good shape and size. In first class condition and zoomed around the ring !
2nd Gefion Zinnybee Queenbeee - 11 years old and in tip top condition. Nice soft expression and correct coat. Deep firm body, on good bone and feet. Moved out well, not quite the earset of 1.
