Jidace Belacey to Shepwood
My thanks go to the committee for inviting me to judge at this warm and friendly show. I would also like to thank Jo Hodges for keeping my ring running so smoothly and also her daughter Zoe who did a fine job handing out the rosettes and prize cards. Last but not least to you the exhibitors for accepting my placements and congratulating each other win or lose.
Although not a huge entry by any means, quality was not affected, with some very nice dogs which in my opinion could easily win at Championship Shows.
Puppy Dog
1. Roberts ~ Moves like Jagger Elvikam (Imp Pol)
10 month old black tri. Balanced head with a lovely dark almond shaped eye. Good reach of neck set onto a level topline which he held on the move. Well boned and great temperament. Very pleased to award him Best Dog, Best Puppy In Show and Reserve Best In Show
Junior Dog
1. Rohland’s ~ Soullaria Elton John
Would like a bit more bone on this boy and he did stand wide in front but his angulation front and rear is good. He has a lovely eye and good ear carriage and moved well.
Limit Dog
1. Crotty’s ~ Lamintone Celestial Storm At Soullaria ShCM
There is no denying this black tri boys heritage! Very nice head with correct shaped eye and scissor bite. Excellent bone, level topline held on the move. He just unfortunately lacked animation on the day that would have given him top honours.
2. Brown’s ~ Dialynne A Perfect Package For Shepwood
Red merle dog, - I would like a bit more reach of neck. Heavier in head than class winner. Lovely oval feet, good bone, and level topline
Open Dog
1.Brown’s ~ Blueroyal Deja Vu (Imp Chi) ShCM
5 year old blue merle with a small almond shaped eye. Would have liked more reach of neck, he has a nice upper arm, level topline and good colour
Veteran Dog
1. Keel’s ~ DrCral Majestic Prince ShCM Pre Beg ‘Ex’
This black tri young man of 11 ½ years certainly belied his age and he floated around the ring. High set tipped ears, with an almond shaped eye. Ok for bone, and good angulation front and rear. He thoroughly enjoyed his time in the ring
2.Brown’s ~ Silverdreams Aussie’s Marzipan (Imp Hun) ShCM
Red merle dog with very good bone and lovely tight oval shaped feet. Dropped his topline on the move. Very good colour
Puppy Bitch
1. Haddock’s ~ Miss Atomic Bomb Elvikam (Imp Pol)
Litter sister to the puppy dog winner. 10 month old bitch with lots to like. Dark almond eye, a bit deep in stop. Ample reach of neck on well laid back shoulders. Level topline. Sadly she didn’t really want to move properly so I couldn’t assess it
Junior Bitch
1. Parker’s ~ Soullaria Barbara Streisand
Black tri bitch who was at both her and her owners first show. Handler listened to all my advice and tried really hard to use said advise. A very feminine girl but I would like more bone and substance. She has a lovely ear set and moved well for a total novice. I am sure with more help both handler and dog have a bright future.
Post Graduate Bitch
1. Venton’s ~ Little Red-Cap Du Chemin Des Korrigans (Imp Fra)
An ultra- feminine red tri bitch. Good almond shaped eye which blends lovely with her coat colour. Straight in shoulder but has a good reach of neck and level topline which she held well on the move. Ok in bone, and just coming back into coat so her lovely shape was not hidden at all.
2. Bland’s ~ Soullaria Back to Black at Hilandes
Black tri and again, I would prefer more shoulder angulation and a longer reach of neck. She has a balanced head and almond shaped eye. Level topline and moved ok
Open Bitch
1. Fuller’s ~ Triforce Last Of The Wilds
Black tri, I absolutely loved this bitch. She commands attention, and she has the loveliest expression from dark almond shaped eyes. Lovely reach of neck, angles front and rear are perfect which shows through her flawless movement. I could have watched her move all day. So pleased to eventually award her BEST BITCH and BEST IN SHOW
Veteran Bitch
1. Brown’s ~ Jidace Bealacy to Shepwood
Slightly long in body but she has good bone, very nice oval feet and is in tip top condition. She moved with drive and held her topline well. Was unlucky to meet the open bitch in the challenge. BEST VETERAN IN SHOW
